Polish market of organic food is currently worth about 50 million Euro. Food with relevant certificates is bought by 7% of Polish consumers – mainly in specialist shops and directly from farmers. The area of organic cultivation is growing dynamically. However, its part in overall cultivation area is still low- about 1%. Organic farming requires specialist knowledge about natural environment and constant observation of processes that take place on the farm, it is efficient and modern. According to the statistics data , the crop yeld on organic farms is higher than the average domestc crop yeld per hectare on conventional farms.

From 26 to 27 May 2008 the Third International Meeting on Processing and Marketing of Organic Food was held in Warsaw. During the Meeting there were some conferences, debates and workshops on the market of organic food.

This year's Ekogala Fair 2008 was organised already for the second time, and again it was the centre of Polish ecology.

The largest European fairs promoting organic production were held in Nuremberg from 15 to 18 February. Our company was there as an exibitor. These fairs present not only food but also a wide range of goods such as clothes, cosmetics, furniture etc. There are 2100 exhibitors from 116 countries.

From 21 to 24 February 2008 International Specialist Fairs of Bio- Products 'BioFach' 2008 will be held in Nuremberg. Our company is going to take part in that event as an exhibitor.

On 5 December 2007 our company was an initiator of a meeting with producers which was devoted to contracting soil-grown vegetables and soft fruit. The meeting was held in Lower-Silesian Centre of Agriculture Advisory in Świdnica.
